Why It Started

When I created My Right Thing, I was looking for a way to have a positive impact on as many people as possible. I felt I was surrounded by negativity and people that didn’t treat each other the way that they should. I explored many different causes to get involved with that I thought may make a difference in my community, but none of them seemed to address the root of the problem that I was seeing. I saw a society of people becoming increasingly focused on themselves and achieving short sighted goals at the expense of others. I decided nothing struck at the heart of the issue quite like simply encouraging people to turn their focus back to Doing The Right Thing. I wanted people to adopt this as a mindset that would guide them through the many decisions we have to make throughout our lives. What if just by making the conscious decision to Do The Right Thing whenever we can, and recognizing those that do, we started to see a change in the world around us?
